be still

"be still", acrylic on birch panel, 17.5 inches by 24 inches by .5 inches

what a ride! this was so much fun, but it was a creative work-out! this one definitely "grew" me as an artist. it's one of those paintings that reminds you that there really is no room for fear if you're gonna do this art thing.

you just have to jump in and go. certainly there are hair-splitting moments, but it's how you move through those "what in the world am i gonna do with this?" moments that are key- for the painting and for me.

truly, God is in the details.

Awwwww breath taking!!! Your landscapes are wonderful!! Your colors jump right out at me from the panel. The colors and imagery are succulent!!!

It's nice to finally stop by. I'm sooo busy during the hours of the day... then finding myself crashing down because of exhaustion at the end. Now I'm up and refreshed at 3am and visiting my favorite and other blogs.

Mystele your work is fab fab fab my dear!! I can see this piece being huge as well. I can feel myself strolling in it and having a magical good time. That is how your piece makes me feel... just covered in all the magic.

I have you linked on my blog but it is for some reason not updating your website! I still have "I bit the bullet" which you posted weeks ago!

Anyway, I wanted to say I absolutely love this piece of work! Love the colors!

Mystele, This is beautiful. I need to take photos of your artwork that is around my mantel. Everyday I look at the things you create - either around my home or on your website. You bless everyone with your creations.

Wow! This is kickin'!
OK, don't stop now. More large work is needed to give you room to grow & know.
Awesome!
More beauty, please.

I came by to see what you have been doing with art, I was so inspired by watching you with the palette knife I had to go and paint that way , I like the hit and miss the knife creates.

This piece is inspirational also, I am always captured by painting that have a lot to see. Beautiful with much interest.
