well, these characters popped out of the underpainting.

they make me giggle.

and i wonder who they are.

i think this might be finished, but i'll let it be for a bit before i totally let go.

thank you so much for your comments and notes, everyone. i so appreciate your words of encouragement and the mutual inspiration i receive from your blogs and art. some of you may be wondering if these paintings i've been blogging about will be going to my etsy shoppe. i had planned on listing things there up until my art show, but i realized that i'm not wonder woman- i know.  you coulda told me that. soooo, i am going to save them for my art show later this month, and whatever doesn't find a home will move to etsy soon after.

capture the magic in your moments this weekend!

our oldest toot is now in fourth grade.how can that be? yesterday, he was just an early, scrawny newborn.  wasn't he?

over the summer- when they were driving me crazy-i was really excited about both boys being in school all day ! (do not be fooled by the following photo. trust me.)

but when they walked down the sidewalk today for the first "real" day of school (we live super close to their school), my heart sank.

don't get me wrong, now. the time so far has been wonderful- quiet, calm, no referee-ing, no interruptions, no whining or slamming doors, or yelling or potty mouth. nope. it's been quite art-full...

but, man, i miss my guys!

you just can't capture this (above) with paint and a brush. my heart needs their life, their youth.

never underestimate a walk down the sidewalk.

and, the growing collection of art that's almost ready to go to the shoppe...just not by this evening!
